Cyberport Venture Capital Forum (CVCF) has become one of the
key signature events of Hong Kong Cyberport. CVCF is a unique
venture capital forum to connect the venture capital community
to the entrepreneurs in the creative digital media and digital
content industries. CVCF has been held twice very successfully
in 2004 and 2005. Continuing on the past successes, CVCF 2006
will consist of a series of programmes running from early October
to 5 December 2006, including 3 sessions of Entrepreneurship
Inspiration Seminar Series, followed by the one-day grand finale,
the Forum itself, on Tuesday, 5 December 2006.More than 300
participants, including VCs, local entrepreneurs and top management
executives, attended last year. CVCF 2006 will be the greatest
chance to connect the world class venture capitalist speakers
to entrepreneurs, to meet the ITU Telecom World VIP delegation
as well as representatives of the local ICT industry.

insights to create and accelerate values in business, through

at China Tee Club was a resounding success. 50 venture capitalists
and entrepreneurs showed up to have a drink and chat with
friends and to make new contacts.
The event was part of the "Enabling" effort of
the SME Committee.

35 wine enthusiasts, from beginners
to serious collectors, shared their interest and passion
at the Third Annual Wine Tasting Event held by HKVCA at
the Hong Kong Club. Through blind tasting, the wine professional,
Simon Tam of International Wine Centre imparted his expertise
in distinguishing between French and Californian wines. |

on "The Alternative Investment Market for Chinese Companies
and Investors" November
21, 2006 |

The seminar organized by HKVCA
with the support of British Consulate-General attracted
an unexpectedly large turnout of 135 at the Conrad Hotel.
The audience ranged from venture capitalists and private
equity practitioners, portfolio companies, local and Chinese
enterprises. The long question-and-answer session and interaction
reflected the high level of interest in this market.
The British Consulate-General graciously hosted cocktails
after the seminar.
