Asian Venture Capital Private Equity Council

The Asian Venture Capital Private Equity Council (AVCPEC) was founded jointly by nine regional private equity associations. It aims to be a platform to facilitate the region’s information sharing and to support and encourage education, training and development. AVCPEC seeks to promote professional standards and a suitable regulatory framework for investment across the Asia Pacific.

China Association of Private Equity (CAPE)

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA)

India Venture Capital Association (IVCA)

Japan Venture Capital Association (JVCA)

Korea Venture Capital Association (KVCA)

New Zealand Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (NZVCA)

Singapore Venture Capital Association (SVCA)

Taiwan M&A and Private Equity Council (MAPECT)

Malaysia Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (MVCA)

 

AVCPEC's Objectives are:

  • To promote the development and awareness among investors of the venture capital and private equity industry in Asia Pacific.

  • To raise awareness among US and European investors of venture capital and private equity investment activities in the region.

  • To facilitate the exchange of ideas, information and experience among members of the various venture capital associations as well as networking between practitioners in the Asia Pacific region.

  • To promote best practices and standards for corporate governance at an international level.

  • To support and encourage the development of professional skills among practitioners within the region.

  • To adopt a standard set of valuation and reporting guidelines.

  • To act as a forum to discuss topics and issues concerning the region’s venture capital and private equity industry.

  • To support the development of venture capital associations in those Asia Pacific countries that do not yet have such organizations in place.
