(DealStreetAsia by Rachel Chitra) - Hong Kong-based logistics provider Jumppoint has secured $6.5 million in a Series A funding round led by MindWorks Capital, according to an announcement.

The round was completed amid a proliferation in Hong Kong of logistics startups like GoGoVan, Floship, Easyship and OpenPort.

There is also Lalamove, a unicorn that media reports suggest could be looking at raising $500 million in fresh funds at a $10 billion valuation. In addition, Alibaba-backed Gogox debuted last year on the Hong Stock Exchange at a $2 billion valuation.

Headline Asia, Chinachem Group, Dada Nexus founder Philip Kuai, and the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund (ITVF) of the Hong Kong government also participated in Jumppoint's Series A round.
