The HKVCA is excited to announce that Ming Lu, Executive Chairman, Asia Pacific of KKR Asia Limited, will keynote at the Asia Private Equity Summit 2024. In addition to his role with KKR Asia, Lu is a partner of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. Lu joined KKR in 2006 and serves on its Asian Private Equity Investment Committee, Asian Portfolio Management Committee and the firm’s Management Committee. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in a number of significant private equity investments across Asia Pacific. Since 2018, he has had a leadership role in KKR Asia’s growth and expansion, and is a member of its Asian Infrastructure Investment Committee and Asian Real Estate Investment Committee. Prior to joining KKR he was a partner at CCMP Capital Asia (formerly J.P. Morgan Partners Asia) and was responsible for investments in the automotive, consumer and industrial sectors in Korea, China, Japan, Australia and South East Asia.

APEF is a leading annual industry event in the region, organized by the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA), Asia's oldest and largest private equity industry group. The event will take place on January 26, 2024, during the Hong Kong government's high-profile international financial week and immediately following the Asian Financial Forum.

The line-up of expert speakers includes more than 60 limited partners, investors, advisors, and consultants addressing the latest trends driving the growing and increasingly robust private markets in Asia. The focus of the discussions will be on Asian private equity, particularly in China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia, covering topics such as family offices, real estate, venture capital, sector-focused funds, and regulation.
