Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year
China 2009 awards
Ernst & Young is pleased to announce the launch of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 China awards program. Entering its fourth year, the China program is getting bigger and stronger in China and around the world, covering 135 cities in 50 countries and reinforcing its reputation as one of the most globally recognized business awards in the world.

In China, the program has received phenomenal response in the last three years, with awards presented to 34 entrepreneurs thus far, including Cao Dewang of Fuyao Glass Industry Group, Liu Yonghao of New Hope Group, Daisy Poon of Ajisen, Richard Elman of Noble Group, Michael Chan of Cafe de Coral, Jiang Nanchun of Focus Media and Horst Julius Pudwill of Techtronic Industries. Many entrepreneurs have received venture capital and private equity financing at some points during their development into market leaders. This shows the important role we play in nurturing China's economic development, by identifying and championing successful and innovation entrepreneurs.

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association proudly supports this awards program and would like to invite our members to participate by nominating entrepreneurs in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau who turn ideas into reality, who change the face of industries, create jobs and contribute to the economies.

So if there is someone you know who deserves to be recognized and rewarded for their innovation, passion and determination – and above all – success, please nominate now. Nominations will be open from now till mid June and the Awards Gala will be held in Shanghai in October.

For further information on the program and the nomination process, please visit www.ey.com/china/eoy or contact Ernst & Young at (852) 2849 9310 or eoy@hk.ey.com

The venture capital market in China has been through a complete cycle of ups and downs from 1998 to 2008. From exposure to Internet business cold winter to economic revitalization, from exploration in the establishment of China venture capital system construction to gradually improved institutional mechanism, from the endless discussion of domestic exit market to the launching of GEM, China VC industry has been groping forward for the past ten years.

2009 is the beginning of another decade. With the ongoing global financial crisis, the launch of China's GEM board has vigorously boosted Chinese VC market. At such a critical moment, what track records of the past ten years tell for the next decade? What new investment opportunities can be expected from Chinese economic adjustments in 2009? "Zero2IPO China VC/PE Investment Forum", a witness of China's VC industry for a decade, will be scheduled from July 9th to 10th, 2009.
