Christian Lynaes

Christian Lynaes

Director, Deals Strategy & Operations, PwC

Christian is a Director in the PwC Deals Advisory team focused on design and delivering commercial and operational value creation. He has 18 years’ experience from Greater China, Northern Europe and Australia.

 

He has helped a range of multinational companies and private equity clients address their most pressing challenges in relation to M&A, digital and growth strategy, as well as operating model transformation and operations improvement.

Throughout his career, Christian has operated within pre- and post-deal M&A (both acquisitions, merger integrations and carve-outs) as well as held leadership roles in multiple transactions each valued at more than 1bn USD.

Leveraging his experience in working with private equity, he works to go beyond traditional advisory to architect deal strategies and client solutions that improve value creation, e.g. by using analytics in conjunction with commercial, financial and operational insights.

 

Christian holds a B.Sc. in Engineering (2003), a M.Sc. in Planning and Management (2005), both from Technical University of Denmark, and Master’s of Applied of Finance (2010) from FINSIA.

Associate Director, Climate and Sustainability, PwC

Clinton is an Associate Director based in Hong Kong and specialises in responsible investment and deals. He has advised on ESG strategy and framework development for a variety of PwC’s alternative investment clients across Asia. 

 

His experience in M&A transactions which includes operational, ESG and carve-out due diligence, synergy assessment, TSA development, post deal integration and separation provide him with unique experience in strategic considerations for responsible investment and sustainable value creation throughout the investment lifecycle. 

 

His extensive experience collaborating with different departments within various private equity firms enables him to offer advisory services at multiple levels, including the overall firm level, specific fund levels, and individual deal levels.

 

Clinton graduated with an Engineering with Business Finance joint degree from University College London (UCL) and London School of Economics (LSE). He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), Certified ESG Analysts (CESGA) and a working group member of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA).
